
Murder Suspect on the Run for 18 Years Caught in Ankara

A murder suspect who had been on the run for 18 years was finally captured in Ankara, Turkey. The wanted individual, identified as V.K, had fled after being involved in the murder of N.K in the village of Dışlinar in August 2006. The Provincial Gendarmerie Command JASAT and Keçiören District Gendarmerie Command teams conducted a thorough operation to apprehend the fugitive.
After receiving information about the suspect’s whereabouts in the Keçiören district of Ankara, the teams initiated a 3-day physical pursuit which ultimately led to the successful capture of V.K. The suspect, who had been wanted for the crime of “premeditated murder”, was detained by the judicial authority following the completion of necessary procedures at the gendarmerie.
