Mustafa Öncü Embarks on His Final Journey
Mustafa Öncü, a beloved figure in the Radio Music and Entertainment Broadcasting Department at Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation, tragically passed away after suffering a heart attack while walking. Despite all efforts to save him, Öncü succumbed to his condition and passed away at midnight.
At the age of 61, Mustafa Öncü left behind a legacy of music and entertainment programs that he had been a part of since he joined BRT on May 1, 1986. Over the course of 34 years, Öncü dedicated himself to his work and eventually became the Radio Music and Entertainment Broadcasts Manager before his retirement on July 2, 2020.
Born on April 15, 1963, Mustafa Öncü was a father to one child and was known for his passion for music and broadcasting. His colleagues remember him as an unforgettable name in the industry, and his contributions to BRT will always be remembered.
Today, Mustafa Öncü was laid to rest in the Nicosia Cemetery following a funeral prayer and ceremony at the Ismail Safa Mosque in Nicosia. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and dedication to his work will continue to inspire those who knew him.
