Missing Man Found Alive After Search and Rescue Efforts in Istanbul
A man who went missing after leaving his house in Avcılar and sending a live message to his father has been found alive in a wooded area in Başakşehir, Istanbul. Dursun Uçan (33) left home in the morning with his vehicle, plate number 31 AGY 930, and disappeared after sending a message to his father in Başakşehir Şamlar District.
Upon receiving a missing person report from the family, the police, along with AFAD and fire brigade teams, initiated a search and rescue operation. Utilizing dogs and drones, the teams scoured the area around Sazlı Dere. After 8 hours of intensive search efforts, Dursun Uçan was located by a friend who had joined the search, around 4 kilometers away from his vehicle. He was found walking on the roadside with torn clothes and blood on him.
Kadir Çiftçi, the citizen who found Uçan, stated, “We noticed brother Dursun while on our way home. His condition seemed disoriented, and he was not aware that he was being searched. We immediately provided assistance, and he was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.”
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing. We are grateful for the successful search and rescue operation that led to the safe discovery of Dursun Uçan.
