Narin Case Update: DNA Report Reveals Critical Bite Mark Evidence

“Intensive Search Operations Continue for Missing Woman in Turkey”

On the 8th day of search operations, officials revealed that searches were carried out in 47 houses and 22 deserted buildings in the effort to find a missing woman named Narin. Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Selçuk Yıldırım provided an update at the operations center established in Tavşantepe Primary School.

Yıldırım mentioned that a total of 1710 individuals from various institutions, including the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, AFAD, Provincial Police Department, fire department, Provincial Health Department, metropolitan and district municipalities, Dicle University, and volunteers, are participating in the search. The search team includes 9 dog units, 115 vehicles, 2 helicopters, and 48 drones.

Teams have searched an extensive area of 55 square kilometers on land, along with streams, ponds, wells, and water channels. Additionally, over 12,500 vehicles and nearly 33,000 individuals have been questioned by the authorities. Various surveillance technologies such as license plate recognition systems and cameras have also been utilized in the search efforts.

As a result of the operations, 66 people have provided statements, with 8 being identified as suspects and 58 as witnesses. One individual has been detained in connection with the case. Moreover, the Red Crescent and AFAD have distributed food to 750 individuals involved in the search operations.

The extensive search efforts demonstrate the dedication of the search teams in their mission to locate Narin and bring closure to the situation. The community remains hopeful for a positive outcome as the search continues.
