Hungary
National Football Team to Play without Audience

UEFA has handed Serbia a €50,000 fine and ordered the country to host Hungary behind closed doors, after supporters chanted discriminatory slogans during a match against Montenegro in March. UEFA has also placed restrictions on Serbian supporters, banning them from accompanying the national team to the away match against Bulgaria in June. The punishment coincides with Hungary’s September qualifying round in the European Championship, although UEFA has yet to confirm which match the penalty will be imposed on. Montenegro, who hosted the March game, was fined €20,000 and will be banned from opening part of the stands for their next home game due to similar fan behaviour.
