Nebi Hatipoğlu Takes A Seat in the AK Party
The recent meeting of the AK Party Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) was held under the leadership of President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The closed-door meeting took place at the AK Party Headquarters and commenced at 14.40.
In a significant development, Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu, who had previously resigned from the İYİ Party, declared his decision to join the AK Party. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan himself adorned Hatipoğlu’s badge, symbolizing his acceptance into the party.
This decision has bolstered the AK Party’s representation in parliament, as the number of its seats has now increased to 264 with Hatipoğlu’s inclusion.
Nebi Hatipoğlu detailed the circumstances of his resignation from the İYİ Party, stating, “In my political journey as a person who is a lover of Turkey and Eskişehir, I have been experiencing deep differences of opinion with the İYİ Party, for which I was elected as the Eskişehir Deputy, since the general election process. Due to the fact that our internal party consultation process did not work properly, I informed our Chairman, Ms. Meral Akşener, and informed the İYİ Party that “I resign from.”
