Netanyahu condemns arrest warrant as new form of antisemitism in ICC

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has responded to the recent application for an arrest warrant made by ICC Chief Prosecutor Han. In a video statement, Netanyahu called the application “absurd and wrong,” stating that it was an attack against the entire Israeli state and army.
Netanyahu further emphasized that despite the ongoing attacks in Gaza, Israel will continue to take action and promised that the ICC will not prevent Israel from overthrowing Hamas. He also mentioned the demonstrations taking place at universities worldwide in support of Palestine, labeling the application as a form of antisemitism being brought from university campuses to the ICC.
The application for an arrest warrant was not only targeted at Netanyahu but also Defense Minister Gallant. ICC Chief Prosecutor Han announced the application, citing Netanyahu, Gallant, Hamas Political Bureau Head Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar, and Mohammed Ed-Dayf, the leader of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, as the targets of the warrant.
The situation is developing as tensions rise in the region, and it remains to be seen how Netanyahu and Israel will respond to these legal challenges. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
