Netanyahu Greenlit Pager Explosions: Israeli Media
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly approved the detonation of wireless communications devices in Lebanon, according to recent security consultations with senior ministers and intelligence chiefs. The explosions in Lebanon, which resulted in the death of 10 people and the injury of nearly 3,000 individuals, 200 of them seriously, are believed to be orchestrated by Israel.
Unnamed senior American officials have pointed to Israel as being behind the explosions in Lebanon, with the operation allegedly targeting a significant part of Hezbollah’s military command and control system. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office has yet to comment on a social media post by Netanyahu’s advisor Topaz Luk, which suggested Israel’s involvement in the attacks.
The Ministry of Health in Lebanon confirmed that the explosions targeted pagers used by Hezbollah elements, resulting in casualties and injuries across the country. While Lebanese authorities blame Israel for the incident, Israel has remained silent on the matter.
Tensions have been escalating in recent days along the Israel-Lebanon border, with both Israeli and Lebanese officials acknowledging the potential for a large-scale response by Hezbollah. The situation remains volatile, with heightened fears of further conflict in the region.
