New 5 TL Coin Enters Circulation
New 5 TL Coin to be Put into Circulation
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has announced the circulation of new coins worth ‘5 TL’ as per the notification published in the Official Gazette. The coins were printed by the General Directorate of Mint and Stamp Printing House in compliance with the Law No. 1264 on the Minting of Coins and Commemorative Coins.
The new 5 TL coin will feature an eight-pointed Seljuk star motif on the obverse, along with the Türkiye Century logo in the middle. Additionally, there will be a crescent and star at the junction of the ring and hub, with the number ‘5’, the text ‘TURKISH LIRA’, and the year of publication included on the coin. On the reverse side, there will be a relief of Atatürk with the text ‘REPUBLIC OF Türkiye’ surrounding it.
Following the publication of the notification, the coins worth 5 TL will be put into circulation. Stay tuned for more updates on this new addition to the currency.
