“New ADA 74 Ferry Embarks on Inaugural Mersin-Famagusta Expedition with Ceremony”

Cyprus Turkish Maritime Company, a joint venture between the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Turkish Privatization Administration, has celebrated the departure of the RoRo Ship Ada 74 to the TRNC. The ship was purchased to strengthen northern Cyprus and will serve with a capacity of 15 trucks, 25 small vehicles, and 400 passengers. Regular ferry services operate between Mersin and Famagusta three times a week. The ship has social facilities such as high-speed internet, television broadcasting, a 300-person cafeteria, and 300-person aircraft pulman seats. The Minister of Public Works and Transport, Erhan Arıklı, thanked Turkey for their contribution and sacrifice and said, “Strong Turkey is the one that will keep the TRNC alive and promote it.”
