New Block Development Contract Signed at Mátra Power Plant
The Mátra Power Plant in Hungary is set for a major upgrade with the signing of a new contract for the development of a combined cycle gas turbine block. This milestone allows for the detailed design and preparation of construction work to begin in Visonta, using cutting-edge technologies in the energy sector. The contract was signed by representatives of MVM Mátra Energia Plc., along with a consortium of companies that won the public procurement procedure for the construction and long-term maintenance of the gas turbine.
Energy Minister Csaba Lantos emphasized the importance of this development in supporting Hungary’s energy independence and commitment to green and sustainable solutions.
