New Discovery: Ancient Rock Tombs Uncovered in Hatay during Housing Development

Rock tombs dating back centuries have been discovered in the mass housing work area in Hatay’s Arsuz district. Workers were surprised to uncover these historical artifacts while excavating in the Pirinçlik District of the district.

Upon the discovery of the rock tombs, Gendarmerie teams were immediately alerted and dispatched to the region. Upon examination, the teams found sarcophagi and ceramic vessels inside the chambers of the rock tombs.
