New Footage Emerges of Oktay Derelioğlu’s Injury in Fight
The amateur footage of an altercation between a former football player and another driver has built a clearer picture of what happened on Mithat Süer street in Erenköy District Dr. on Tuesday, December 5, around 16:30. The disturbing images show an argument on the road turning into a serious scuffle and attack on the footballer inside the vehicle.
The former player and his wife were driving when an argument with another driver broke out due to a road narrowing. The situation escalated and led to a physical attack when the other car’s passengers started attacking and beat the former footballer. The citizen passing by called the police and ambulance as the situation worsened. The former athlete was taken to the hospital due to a shoulder dislocation and various other injuries.
The images showed the extent of the fight and the former player’s attempt to defend himself. The former player and his wife later testified about the event, with the former expressing outrage at the attackers.
The suspects for the attack were taken into custody, and further statements from both parties have been released. The defendant claimed that there was no beating involved, and they were merely defending themselves. They are both currently in prison, and the case continues to develop.
