In a thrilling 5th week match of the Men’s League Basketball Case & Case, the Mediterranean Sports Union Caesar Larnaka Youth Union was defeated 61-49, marking their third defeat in the season.
The match took place at Pier Dr. Fazıl Küçük Sports Hall, where the Mediterranean team took an early lead in the first half with a score of 29-18. They continued their dominance throughout the game, eventually securing a 61-49 victory and climbing to the top of the league with a 10-point lead.
Emirhan stood out for the Mediterranean team with 20 points and 13 assists, while Abdul contributed 8 points, 13 rebounds, and 16 assists.
In another match of the day, Damdelen Petrol U16 Men’s League Group B faced off against Koopbank Youth, with Koopbank Youth emerging victorious in a close 82-79 game that went into three extensions.
The match was intense, with the score tied at 59-59 in regular time, followed by two extensions at 66-66 and 74-74. Eventually, Koopbank Youth managed to clinch the win with a final score of 82-79.
