Minimum Wage Determination Commission Sets National Minimum Wage for 2025

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, in accordance with Article 39 of the Labor Law No. 4857 and Article 522 of the Presidential Decree No. 1 on the Presidential Organization, has announced the national minimum wage for 2025. The Commission began its work on December 10 and concluded on December 24, after holding four meetings.

After careful consideration, the Commission determined that the minimum wage for one day of normal work will be 866 lira 85 kuruş between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Additionally, a support of 1000 lira will be provided to maintain the minimum wage throughout the year. The decision, which includes the proposal to re-determine the procedures and principles, will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into effect on January 1, 2025. It is important to note that the decision was made unanimously, with the participation of workers’ representatives.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the minimum wage for 2025 has been set at 22 thousand 104 lira. This decision aims to ensure fair compensation for all workers who are employed under an employment contract, in line with the laws and regulations governing the labor market.

The determination of the national minimum wage for 2025 by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission reflects the commitment to supporting workers and maintaining a fair and just work environment for all individuals involved in the labor force.
