
New Regulation Allows Romanian Citizens to Travel to Our Country with ID

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during a meeting with Romanian Prime Minister Ciolacu, highlighted the strong strategic partnership between Turkey and Romania. The two leaders signed a joint declaration to establish the Türkiye-Romania high-level strategic cooperation council, aiming to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Trade between the two countries has seen significant growth, with the mutual trade volume exceeding 10 billion dollars for two consecutive years. The goal is to reach 15 billion dollars, with both countries taking firm steps towards achieving this target. Turkish companies have also made substantial investments in Romania, approaching 8 billion dollars.
Energy cooperation was a key focus, along with collaboration in the defense industry and military fields. The two countries, both coastal and NATO allies in the Black Sea, work together closely in this region. Additionally, a mine countermeasures task group was established in the Black Sea with the participation of Bulgaria.
President Erdoğan also addressed the fight against terrorism, emphasizing the importance of international efforts in this regard. He expressed gratitude for the harmony between the Turkish and Turkish Tatar communities and the Roma community in Romania.
In a significant announcement, President Erdoğan revealed that Romanian citizens will now be able to travel to Turkey with their ID, thanks to a new regulation.
The President also touched on the ongoing Israeli atrocities against Palestinians, calling for international action to stop the massacre. He expressed confidence that Romania, as a valued ally, would contribute to the efforts in addressing this critical issue.
Details of the discussions between President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ciolacu are expected to follow in the coming days. The strong relationship between Turkey and Romania looks set to continue flourishing, with a focus on mutual cooperation and shared goals.
