New Report Reveals Success of Budget Implementation

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has revealed the budget implementation results for February, showing significant increases in both revenues and expenses compared to the previous year.

In February, budget revenues saw a substantial 145 percent increase from the same month in the previous year, totaling 536 billion 107 million liras. Meanwhile, budget expenses also rose by 77.2 percent, reaching 689 billion 905 million liras during the same period.

Looking at the cumulative results for the January-February period, budget revenues grew by 127.1 percent compared to the same period last year, amounting to 1 trillion 153 billion 356 million liras. On the other hand, budget expenditures increased by 105.1 percent, reaching 1 trillion 457 billion 873 million liras.

As a result, a deficit of 153 billion 798 million liras was recorded in the central government budget for February, while a deficit of 304 billion 517 million liras was reported for the January-February period.

These figures indicate a significant financial gap that the government will need to address in the coming months to ensure stable economic growth and fiscal sustainability.
