New Schedule for Budapest Airport Shuttle Bus for Tourists
In response to the expected increase in passenger traffic at Liszt Ferenc International Airport (Budapest Airport) this summer, the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) has announced that the 200E shuttle will operate more frequently during the morning rush hour on weekdays starting from Monday, 1 July.
With the summer peak season in July and August fast approaching, the decision to increase the frequency of the 200E shuttle was made to accommodate the higher number of travelers expected at the airport. While the fast 100E airport shuttle is also available for those traveling from the city centre, many passengers opt for the 200E from Kőbánya-Kispest due to its affordability for those coming from South Pest or arriving by train.
In addition to the surge in passenger traffic, the number of airport employees and people working in the logistics park in the area has also significantly increased. As a result of a recent passenger count conducted by BKK, the transport company has already expanded the number of early Saturday morning departures for the 200E service.
It is evident that BKK is proactively addressing the growing demand for transportation to and from Budapest Airport, ensuring that passengers have convenient and efficient options for their travels. As the summer months progress, travelers can expect a smoother and more frequent operation of the 200E shuttle to meet their airport transportation needs.
