Bayraktar TB3 SİHA Successfully Passes Ramp Takeoff Test
A major milestone has been achieved in the development of the Bayraktar TB3 SİHA (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) as it successfully passed the ramp takeoff test. The test was conducted at the Baykar Flight Training and Test Center in Keşan, where conditions similar to the runway at TCG Anadolu were created for the test.
During the test, a runway with the same specifications as the one at TCG Anadolu, where the Bayraktar TB3 will be deployed, was prepared. The takeoff test was carried out on a ramp with a 12-degree slope, mimicking the conditions of a short-runway ship.
The Bayraktar TB3 attempted to take off from the ramp six times, and each attempt was successful, demonstrating the capability of the SİHA to take off from and land on short-runway ships like the TCG Anadolu. This is made possible by the foldable wing structure of the Bayraktar TB3, making it the first armed unmanned aerial vehicle in the world with this capability.
The successful completion of the ramp takeoff test is a significant achievement for the Bayraktar TB3 SİHA and further solidifies its position as a cutting-edge technology in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles.
