New Weather Report: Istanbul Temperature to Drop 22 Degrees
The unseasonably warm weather in Turkey has brought temperatures 12 to 15 degrees above normal across the country. Cities like Istanbul have seen temperatures soaring to levels more typical of summer.
Tomorrow, Istanbul is expected to reach a high of 27 degrees, while Ankara will see temperatures around 29 degrees on Sunday. The Mediterranean region is also experiencing hot weather, with temperatures along the Adana-Antalya line expected to range between 25 and 30 degrees.
However, this heatwave is not here to stay. Forecasters are predicting a shift to colder and rainy weather in the coming week. Istanbul, which is expected to see highs of 27 degrees on Saturday, could drop to just 5 degrees by Wednesday.
Meteorology experts are also warning of snow returning to Anatolia on Tuesday, with temperatures dropping significantly across the country. CNN Türk Meteorology Advisor Dr. Orhan Şen highlighted the fluctuating temperatures, with some regions experiencing temperatures in the mid-20s while others, like Adapazarı, Sakarya, and Bursa, reaching 30 degrees. However, this warm spell is expected to be short-lived, with snowfall making a comeback next week.
