
New Year’s Babies Born in the First Hours of 2022

The first baby of the year 2025 has been welcomed with joy and excitement at hospitals across Turkey. In Adana, the first baby was born at Adana City Training and Research Hospital to parents Bedia and Karaman Kayalar. The baby boy, born at exactly midnight, was named “Umut” which means hope in Turkish.
Mother Bedia Kayalar expressed her happiness and excitement at holding her newborn baby in her arms. She shared that this is their fourth child and they were surprised by the unexpected birth on New Year’s Day. Gynecology and obstetrics specialist Erdoğan Koca congratulated the family and wished the baby boy a successful and happy life.
In Van, the first baby of 2025 was born at Van Training and Research Hospital to Hüsna and Muhammed Emin Özdemir. The baby boy was named “Eymen” and brought joy to the parents and hospital staff. Hospital Chief Physician Assoc. Dr. Remzi Sarıkaya assured that health services will continue throughout the new year.
Furthermore, in Izmir, the first baby of 2025 was Mahir Deniz, born to Şenay and Şener Saki at Bayraklı City Hospital. In Konya, the first baby “Zümra” was born at Belviranlı Gynecology and Pediatrics Hospital to Rukiye and Emre Yorgancı. Governor İbrahim Akın congratulated the family and wished the baby girl and her mother good health.
Lastly, in Kocaeli, the first baby of the new year arrived at Kocaeli City Hospital to parents Harun and Cansever Alpgün. The baby boy, whose name is yet to be decided, was born weighing 2.58 kilos. Op. Dr. Ayşe Seda Daryal wished the newborn boy and his family healthy years ahead.
