Nicosia New State Hospital to Further Support TRNC Health Services – BRTK
Republic of Türkiye Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced the launch of the new Nicosia State Hospital, which will provide vital health services to the people of Nicosia. This project, supported by the Republic of Türkiye, is a significant step towards enhancing healthcare standards in the region.
The Nicosia New State Hospital, with a 50 thousand square meters closed area, 320 bed capacity, 110 intensive care beds, 80 polyclinics, 12 operating rooms, and modern diagnostic and treatment units, is considered one of the most comprehensive healthcare projects in the area.
During the launch event, Vice President Yılmaz highlighted the strong cooperation between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, emphasizing their commitment to improving the health and well-being of the Turkish Cypriot people. He mentioned the significant financial support provided through various agreements, as well as ongoing projects to enhance healthcare infrastructure across the region.
Yılmaz also outlined future strategic projects in infrastructure, health, education, and digital transformation to accelerate development in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He expressed gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Ersin Tatar for their support in advancing healthcare initiatives in the region.
In addition to the Nicosia New State Hospital project, Yılmaz highlighted other ongoing efforts to improve healthcare facilities, including the modernization of existing hospitals and the construction of new health centers in various regions. These initiatives aim to ensure accessible, high-quality healthcare services for all residents of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
