Nightmare on Tinder: Woman Found Naked in Grave with Tongue Cut
A Russian tourist’s vacation in Mauritius took a horrific turn when she was brutally murdered by a man she met on Tinder. Zaliya Shamigulova, a 29-year-old lecturer, was found dismembered in a shallow grave, her body naked and her tongue and throat cut.
The suspect, a Mauritian engineer named Puryavirsingh Sundur, confessed to the crime, revealing that he stabbed Shamigulova and dismembered her body. The young woman’s autopsy report showed multiple wounds on her chest, indicating a violent struggle.
Security forces are still searching for Shamigulova’s missing body parts and clothing. The suspect led police to the grave in La Marie, where he buried the victim after committing the heinous act.
Shamigulova, who was a torchbearer at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, was reported missing by her travelling companion after she was last seen getting into a car wearing a white and blue dress. Her family in Russia received messages from her asking them not to contact her, adding to the mystery surrounding her tragic death.
The investigation into Shamigulova’s murder is ongoing, as authorities work to uncover the full extent of this horrific crime. It serves as a chilling reminder of the dangers that can lurk behind seemingly harmless encounters, even on popular dating apps like Tinder.
