
Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of Turkish Grand National Assembly, Visits Azerbaijan

The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, has traveled to Azerbaijan to participate in the 14th General Assembly of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA). Upon his arrival at Haydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, Kurtulmuş and his parliamentary delegation were greeted by Azerbaijan-Turkey Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group President Ehliman Emiraslanov, Turkey’s Ambassador to Baku Cahit Bağcı, and other officials.
During his visit, Kurtulmuş is scheduled to attend the 14th General Assembly of APA and engage in various meetings with Azerbaijani officials, including the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sahibe Gafarova, and Prime Minister Ali Asadov. He is also expected to have an audience with President Ilham Aliyev and visit the TURKPA General Secretariat and martyrs’ cemeteries in Baku.
The visit is part of a broader framework of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations and is set to continue until February 23. This trip underscores the strong ties between the two countries and their commitment to parliamentary diplomacy within the Asian region.
