Numerous Sea Transportation Cancellations
Severe weather conditions have once again disrupted sea transportation in Istanbul, leading to the cancellation of several ferry services operated by IDO, BUDO, and Gestaş AŞ.
The thick fog covering the Bosphorus forced authorities to close the transit passage, causing delays and cancellations in the ferry schedules. IDO announced the cancellation of multiple services today, including trips between Yalova and Pendik, Yenikapı and Yalova, as well as Pendik and Yalova at various times throughout the day.
Similarly, BUDO had to cancel several trips between Bursa (Mudanya) and Istanbul (Eminönü/Sirkeci) due to the unfavorable weather conditions. Passengers were informed that services scheduled for the morning and afternoon hours were affected, impacting travel between the two destinations.
Furthermore, Gestaş AŞ also had to call off ferry expeditions in the North Aegean region, particularly on the Kabatepe-Gökçeada line. Travelers hoping to make the journey tomorrow were notified that the 09.00 and 13.00 trips from Kabatepe to Gökçeada, as well as the 07.00, 11.00, and 15.00 services from Gökçeada to Kabatepe, would be canceled due to adverse weather conditions.
