Ömer Çelik Calls for Liquidation of All PKK Elements in Iraq and Syria
The call from Abdullah Öcalan, the ringleader of the PKK terrorist organization, to release arms and dismantle the group continues to be a topic of discussion. AK Party spokesman Omer Celik has stated that the terrorist organization must be eradicated along with all its elements in Iraq and Syria.
Celik emphasized that there is no room for negotiation, stating, “At this point, our goal is to reach a Turkey free of terrorism.” He also referred to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech in Diyarbakır in 2005, highlighting Erdoğan’s commitment to solving issues such as the Kurdish problem and head cover problem through democracy.
Celik praised the historical call from Mr. Bahçeli as a new message against the dark processes in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of reaching the goal of a terrorism-free Turkey. In this context, he stressed the necessity for the terrorist organization to disarm and dissolve completely in Iraq and Syria.
Criticism was also directed at the opposition parties, with Celik pointing out the lack of quality and substance in their comments. He specifically mentioned criticism from CHP leader Özel, stating that the process should not be labeled as non-transparent as the Republic alliance is unified and transparent.
