Orbán-backed Candidate Szentkirályi Poised to Beat Opposition Mayor of Budapest

Alexandra Szentkirályi, the candidate of the ruling parties for Budapest mayor in the upcoming municipal election, has successfully collected the required number of recommendation slips to run for office. Before submitting the slips at City Hall on Saturday, she expressed her gratitude to the many Budapest residents who supported her.
Szentkirályi pledged to visit every corner of the city to listen to the concerns of its residents and share her vision for the future. She emphasized that as mayor, she would be someone who gets things done, works collaboratively with the government for development, and takes responsibility for the city’s progress.
She also made a pointed remark about her opponent, stating that she aims to ensure Budapest residents have a mayor, rather than Ferenc Gyurcsány. Szentkirályi’s message seems to be one of proactive leadership and a commitment to putting the needs of the city and its residents first.
As the municipal election approaches, it will be interesting to see how Szentkirályi’s campaign evolves and how she plans to address the challenges facing Budapest. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
