Over 1.4 Million Houses Sold in 2024
The Turkish Statistical Institute has released the latest housing sales statistics for December of last year and 2024.
According to the data, there were a total of 212,637 house sales across Turkey in December, marking a significant increase of 53.4 percent compared to the same month in the previous year.
In the period of January to December 2024, housing sales saw a 20.6 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching a total of 1,478,025 sales.
Istanbul emerged as the province with the highest number of housing sales in 2024, with a total of 239,213 sales. Following Istanbul were Ankara with 134,046 sales and Izmir with 80,398 sales.
On the other hand, the provinces with the lowest housing sales in 2024 were Ardahan with 755 sales, Hakkari with 958 sales, and Bayburt with 998 sales.
These statistics indicate a positive trend in the housing market in Turkey, with significant increases in sales compared to the previous year. This data reflects a growing interest in property investment and real estate in the country.
