Over 2 Billion Appointments Scheduled through MHRS
The Ministry of Health recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of the MHRS (Central Physician Appointment System) with a statement highlighting the success and reach of the system since its inception as a pilot in Erzurum and Kayseri in 2010.
Originally started as a pilot project, MHRS quickly expanded to include public hospitals in all provinces by 2012, providing a convenient way for citizens across Türkiye to make appointments with physicians without the hassle of waiting in line. This move was instrumental in ensuring that healthcare services were accessible to all citizens throughout the country.
One notable statistic mentioned in the statement was that nearly half of all appointments were made through the Alo 182 call center, demonstrating the widespread use and popularity of the system. The statement also highlighted the efforts made to prioritize appointments for patients in disadvantaged groups, ensuring that they have easier access to healthcare services.
Since its launch in 2010 until March 2025, over 90 million singular citizens have utilized MHRS, with a staggering total of 2 billion appointments being made through the system. This includes appointments for hospitals, family medicine, and e-pulse services, with the majority of appointments being booked through the website and mobile application channels.
The success and reach of the MHRS system over the past 15 years have undoubtedly improved access to healthcare services for citizens across Türkiye, making it easier for them to get the medical attention they need in a timely manner.
