Oxygen Tanker Leak Sparks Panic in Sakarya
A medical oxygen leak in a tanker near Sapanca State Hospital in Sakarya, Turkey, caused a response from emergency services on Wednesday. The incident led to the evacuation of the hospital and nearby residences as a precaution.
Upon receiving reports of the leak, teams from AFAD, the fire department, police, and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene. Patients and staff in the hospital’s inpatient ward and observation areas were safely evacuated, while the surrounding street was closed to traffic.
After identifying and repairing the source of the leak, the tanker was removed from the area and the road was reopened to traffic. Normal operations resumed at the hospital following the successful intervention by emergency response teams.
Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries or further complications resulting from the leak. The quick and effective response from the authorities helped prevent any potential harm to the surrounding community.
