Özkurt: EMU Collaboration Projects to be Expanded
Eastern Mediterranean University strengthens cooperation with media organizations
The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has taken steps to further enhance its collaboration with media organizations in the region. To achieve this goal, EMU Faculty of Communication Dean, Professor Senih Çavuşoğlu, Assistant Dean, Associate Professor Doctor Aysu Arsoy and Assistant Professor Doctor Yetin Arslan visited Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation Director, Meryem Özkurt, who is also a faculty member at EMU.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed existing collaborations and potential opportunities for future projects. Professor Çavuşoğlu emphasized the increasingly significant role of media and academic studies’ relationship in today’s world and how they feed off each other. He was confident that EMU’s collaboration with Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation would continue to grow and evolve.
In turn, Özkurt expressed her appreciation for EMU’s support for BRT News Center Famagusta Bureau, which is located on the university campus. She noted that joint projects currently under way would be carried forward, and they would continue to build on established relationships.
The Eastern Mediterranean University’s initiative to engage and strengthen its collaboration with media organizations will help ensure that the university remains at the forefront of developments in the field of communication and media.
