ÖZYES Preference Results and BESYO Placement Results Awaited from ÖSYM
Preference procedures for the 2024 Special Ability Exam for Sports Sciences (ÖZYES) have recently concluded, and now all eyes are on ÖSYM for the BESYO placement results. The ÖZYES preference results for this year have not been announced yet, with ÖSYM BESYO yet to make a statement. However, it is expected that the preference results will be revealed within two weeks at the latest.
For those wondering how the BESYO placements will be made, candidates will be placed in higher education programs through central placement. ÖSYM will consider candidates’ scores, preferences regarding higher education programs, as well as the quotas and conditions of these programs during the placement process. The placement scores calculated for 2024 will be used for the central placement this year.
Candidates will be ranked based on their Placement Scores (YP), starting from the highest score to the lowest. It is important to note that for teaching programs, ranking at least 800 thousandth in TYT is necessary. Candidates interested in teaching programs are advised to review the Ministry of National Education Teacher Appointment and Relocation Regulation.
In cases where candidates have equal scores, priority will be given to those with a higher TYT exam score, followed by those with a higher OBP. The order of priority in placement will be the general quota followed by the national athlete quota, with separate quotas for men and women.
Any quotas left vacant by national athletes and disabled candidates in the first central placement will be transferred to the general quota in additional placement processes. In these additional procedures, there will be no gender distinction within the general quota.
