Pakistani Prime Minister Şerif praises Erdogan as great and brave leader during last-minute visit to Ankara
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistani Prime Minister Şahbaz Şerif recently met for a joint press conference, where a number of important topics were discussed. Erdogan expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality shown during his recent visit to Pakistan, highlighting the strong relationship between the two countries.
During the meeting, discussions focused on regional and global issues, as well as bilateral relations. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fight against terrorism, with Turkey and Pakistan standing together as powerful allies in this effort.
A total of 25 documents were signed in various sectors, including trade, water resources, agriculture, energy, culture, education, and defense, reflecting the growing cooperation between Turkey and Pakistan. Erdogan encouraged investors to engage in more activities and develop joint projects in Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of economic cooperation.
Both leaders also discussed enhancing military and defense industry cooperation through common projects. Energy and critical mines were identified as key areas for future collaboration. Additionally, efforts to meet the needs of Turkish lecturers in Pakistani universities were also addressed.
Erdogan praised Pakistan’s determined stance on the Palestinian issue, expressing support for the establishment of an Independent and Sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. Both countries have worked together to support the Palestinian cause on various platforms.
In a show of solidarity, Erdogan extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in a recent traffic accident in Van. He also highlighted Turkey’s ongoing efforts to provide assistance to those affected by the tragedy.
Pakistani Prime Minister Şahbaz Şerif expressed his gratitude for Erdogan’s leadership and shared memories of past collaborations between the two countries. He commended Turkey’s economic growth and diplomatic influence under Erdogan’s leadership.
The meeting concluded with a dinner hosted by President Erdogan in honor of Prime Minister Şerif, further strengthening the bond between Turkey and Pakistan. The discussions and agreements reached during the joint press conference underscore the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
