Park Named in Honor of Narin Güran
A park in Sivas has been dedicated to 8-year-old Narin, who was tragically murdered in Diyarbakır. The Sivas Municipality decided to name the newly completed children’s park in Alibaba Neighborhood after Narin Güran, in honor of the young girl who lost her life at such a tender age.
During the opening ceremony of the park, attended by citizens and members of the provincial protocol, Sivas Mayor Adem Uzun spoke about the significance of naming the park after Narin. He emphasized that despite the tragedy that took Narin away from this world, her smile and joy had made it a more beautiful place. Mayor Uzun also expressed confidence in the authorities and the Turkish justice system to bring those responsible for Narin’s death to justice.
Following a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, children were invited to cut the ribbon and officially open the park. The attendees, including citizens and children, expressed their approval and admiration for the new park, highlighting its positive impact on the community.
