Parliament Passes Proposal for Civil Servants’ Collective Bargaining Bonus
Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, announced a new collective agreement bonus for civil servants in a recent post on his social media account. This bonus comes as a result of the 7th Term Public Collective Agreement, which was achieved through social dialogue with unions and confederations.
Unfortunately, this bonus was initially cancelled after the CHP applied to the Constitutional Court. Minister Işıkhan expressed his disappointment, stating that the cancellation resulted in a decrease in the salaries of public servants who were benefiting from the bonus. However, the government is committed to supporting the gains of workers and civil servants.
In an effort to rectify the situation, an article was accepted in the TBMM General Assembly which will provide unionized civil servants with a bonus of 641.81 TL as a collective agreement bonus. This bonus will be extended to all unionized civil servants, ensuring that they receive the compensation they deserve.
Minister Işıkhan expressed his gratitude to the People’s Alliance deputies who contributed to the enactment process of this bill. He hopes that this bonus will be beneficial for all civil servants in Turkey, acknowledging their hard work and dedication to public service.
