Parliament Prepared for Tomorrow’s 10.00 Session

National Unity Party (UBP) Secretary General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu has emphasized the importance of completing the Parliamentary Presidency Council elections in accordance with internal regulations. According to Hasipoğlu, the elections must be finalized within 10 days after the Parliament starts the new legislative year, and tomorrow marks the 10th day since the start of the new year. In order to uphold the law and constitution, UBP will convene with all deputies at the Republic Assembly at 10:00 tomorrow.

During an interview on BRT’s ‘Saat’ program, Hasipoğlu criticized the decision made by the CTP to interrupt the Parliament meeting, calling it a “political decision” that goes against the law and constitution. He urged Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Fazilet Özdenefe, to resume the interrupted meeting and complete the elections for the Parliamentary Presidency Council as required by the regulations.

Hasipoğlu expressed his concerns that prolonging the elections would violate both internal regulations and the constitution. He condemned the actions of those who act contrary to the law and stressed the importance of upholding ethical standards in the parliamentary proceedings.

In conclusion, Hasipoğlu urged all parties involved to prioritize adherence to the law and internal regulations in order to maintain the integrity of the Parliament. Failure to do so, he warned, would not only jeopardize the democratic process but also undermine the trust of the people in the political system.
