Parsley Doner Investigation: Court Referral in Latest Development
The investigation into the operation of the restaurant chain Maydonoz Doner continues, with 77 suspects detained in Antalya in connection to FETÖ’s financial structuring. The suspects, including the Chairman of the Board of Directors and members, have been taken to court under security measures. They are accused of being affiliated with FETÖ and influencing judges and public officials. Other suspects will also be brought to court in the cities where they were detained.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya revealed on social media that a simultaneous operation named Penin-40 was conducted on February 21 in Antalya, targeting FETÖ’s financing through a doner restaurant chain. A total of 353 suspects, including public personnel, were apprehended in this operation.
New details have emerged from the investigation, with a former employee named R.Ö. providing crucial information. R.Ö. confessed to being involved in increasing turnover through fraudulent means such as workplace harassment and mobbing. It was revealed that R.Ö. also wrote a confession letter to authorities detailing the association with FETÖ suspects who were expelled from public roles. The former employee admitted to starting work at Maydonoz Doner with a reference from a friend affiliated with the organization, and has made significant revelations during the prosecutor’s questioning.
