Partial Control Achieved in Aydin Paper Factory Fire

The fire at a paper factory in the Söke Organized Industrial Zone in Aydin is now partially under control after five days of intense efforts by fire and forest teams. The fire, which started in the compressed paper storage area and spread to the second section of the factory, has been contained to some extent.
Teams are still working hard to fully extinguish and cool the remaining fire in some areas of the factory. The fire broke out on July 12 at 17:00 and quickly grew due to the windy conditions. A total of 140 thousand tons of paper were consumed in the flames, affecting an area of 240 acres.
Reinforcements were called in from 23 provinces to help combat the blaze. Despite the challenging circumstances, the collaborative efforts of the fire and forest teams have helped to bring the situation under control to a certain extent.
The authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and work towards fully extinguishing the fire to prevent any further damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and efforts are being made to ensure the safety of the surrounding areas.
