Aside from her professional contributions, Aziz was also active in advocating for women’s and children’s rights, participating in social projects, and serving on journalist organizations. She witnessed and reported on many historical events in Cyprus, retiring in 2012.

In her retirement, Aziz focused on promoting eco-friendly practices in Bağlıköy and ran a boutique hotel in her village. She was also known for supporting women’s cooperative initiatives. Her life story was even documented in a film by the Women’s Stories Association.
