“The Fight for an Independent and Liveable Hungary Continues,” Says Tisza Party Leader Péter Magyar
At a rally in Budapest, Péter Magyar, the leader of the opposition Tisza Party, expressed the ongoing struggle for an independent, free, and liveable Hungary. He mentioned that more and more people are joining Tisza’s community as they witness the positive changes taking place in Hungary.
Magyar highlighted the contrast between light and darkness in the past year and emphasized that Tisza’s policy is rooted in love for the homeland. He described his followers as united by love, pride, and a sense of responsibility, stating that Hungary can only progress by upholding these values.
Comparing the current political system controlled by Fidesz to a torpedo aiming to destabilize Hungary, Magyar stressed the need to block the Orbán plan, which includes increasing debt, privatizing healthcare, and raising the retirement age.
Tisza Party represents hope for millions of Hungarians seeking change and serves as an inclusive platform for those who believe in the possibility of a better future for the country. Magyar described Tisza as the embodiment of the new Hungary.
If elected into power, Tisza Party plans to focus on an independent judiciary, reclaiming stolen state assets, and enhancing transparency by joining the European Prosecutors’ Office. Additionally, the party aims to improve conditions for pensioners, support small and medium-sized enterprises, and reduce state debt through a stable economic policy.
Education, taxation, and development are also key areas of focus for Tisza Party, with plans to introduce a wealth increase tax on high assets, empower schools and teachers, and bolster the healthcare sector.
In response, ruling party Fidesz criticized Magyar, accusing him of inconsistency and allegiance to Brussels over Hungary. They labeled him as a traitor and emphasized the importance of defending the country against those who prioritize foreign interests.
Despite the political divide, the rallying cry for a better Hungary resonates among the populace, with both sides vying for support in the upcoming political landscape. It remains to be seen how the ongoing battle for the country’s future will unfold.
