Turkmenistan and Russia Discuss Cooperation in 2025
A telephone conversation took place on December 28 between Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, and Valentina Matviyenko, the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The conversation touched on various topics, including the prospects for cooperation in 2025, which has been declared by the UN General Assembly as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Both leaders highlighted the importance of uniting and consolidating the efforts of the international community to bring back a culture of dialogue, respect, and tolerance to global politics. They emphasized the crucial role that women can play in this endeavor, highlighting their responsibility and humanistic mission to current and future generations.
In line with this, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed the idea of holding the second Dialogue of Women of Central Asian States and Russia in May next year. The proposed location for this event is the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.
