Pinball Diplomacy: Macron and Steinmeier’s Unconventional Approach
French President Emmanel Macron recently embarked on a 3-day official visit to Berlin, marking the first visit of a French President to the German capital in 24 years. The highlight of the visit was the friendly game of foosball played between Macron and his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, which was shared on Macron’s personal social media account.
In addition to their foosball match, Macron and Steinmeier engaged in discussions on various regional and global developments, as well as strengthening bilateral relations between France and Germany. Macron emphasized the importance of reinforcing French-German relations, particularly in the face of challenges such as the Russian occupation in Ukraine.
