Special Pizza Making Workshop for Visually Impaired Students
A special pizza making workshop was recently organized for the visually impaired students of Rauf Raif Denktaş School in Nicosia. This event was made possible through a collaboration between Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Social Awareness Center (TDM), Faculty of Tourism, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, and Nicosia Municipality.
The workshop, which aimed to provide a fun and educational experience for the visually impaired children, was conducted by students from EMU’s Tourism Faculty Gastronomy and Culinary Arts program. Together, the students made pizzas and enjoyed eating them afterwards.
Dr. Nazenin Ruso Kandemir, the President of EMU TDM, expressed her gratitude towards Nicosia Municipality and Rauf Raif Denktaş School for the Visually Impaired for their cooperation. She also mentioned that they plan to continue collaborating with these institutions in the future to create more inclusive and engaging projects for the visually impaired community.
