PKK/YPG Terrorists Continue Withdrawal from Aleppo City Center

The second convoy of PKK/YPG terrorists has left the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maksud and Eşrefiyye in Aleppo, following an agreement signed between the Syrian administration and the PKK/YPG on April 1. This convoy, consisting of 60 vehicles carrying around 500 terrorists, is heading towards the east of the Euphrates.
Under the supervision of forces affiliated with the general security administration, the terrorists, carrying the flags of the PKK/YPG in their hands, have departed from Aleppo. It is expected that the withdrawal of terrorists will continue in the coming days.
This is the second convoy to leave Sheikh Maksud and Eşrefiyye neighborhoods, following the first convoy’s withdrawal on April 4.
The PKK/YPG had turned Sheikh Maksud and Eşrefiyye neighborhoods into a terrorist base after the fall of the Baath regime, using the areas for extortion, kidnapping, and arming activities. The organization also placed snipers in these neighborhoods, leading to the deaths of at least 65 civilians in snipers’ attacks between November 30, 2024, and January 30, 2025, according to the Syrian Human Rights Network (SNHR) report.
