Plane Disaster in USA: Cabin Filled with Smoke

Passengers Evacuated After Delta Airlines Plane Fills with Smoke in Georgia
In a recent incident in the state of Georgia, USA, passengers were forced to evacuate a Delta Airlines plane after the cabin filled with smoke. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that the Boeing 717 aircraft had to return to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport shortly after takeoff due to the presence of “haze or smoke” in the cabin.
According to statements from Delta Airlines and the FAA, there were a total of 94 passengers, 2 pilots, and 3 flight attendants on board the plane. They reassured that the plane safely landed in South Carolina after encountering the issue and returning to Atlanta.
Videos shared on social media by passengers showed them covering their heads and faces with clothing to protect themselves from the smoke in the cabin. After landing, passengers were safely evacuated using the emergency slides.
Delta Airlines issued an apology to the passengers for the inconvenience caused, while FAA officials confirmed that an investigation has been launched to determine the source of the problem.
The incident comes amidst a string of aviation accidents in the US, with recent tragedies including a collision between a passenger plane and a military helicopter near Ronald Reagan Airport resulting in 67 fatalities, as well as an air ambulance crash near a shopping center in Philadelphia that claimed the lives of 6 individuals.
Additionally, a Delta Airlines plane experienced a mishap during landing at an airport in Ontario, Canada, leaving 18 passengers out of 80 onboard injured. With concerns rising over aircraft accidents, safety measures and investigations are being intensified to address the growing issue.
