“Planning Large-scale Farms for Increased Production”

Ankara deputy candidates of the parties forming the ATA Alliance, along with Sinan Ogan, had breakfast with shopkeepers at the Vegetable and Fruit Wholesale Market. During the meeting, Ogan listened to the complaints and suggestions of the tradesmen, stating that they could understand the state of the country from the situation in the vegetable and fruit market.

Ogan also stated, “Our market traders also have problems. In fact, the cost of living in Turkey is at the center of the country’s agenda today. We will make suggestions. First of all, we have to reduce production costs. We will start with fertilizer production and cost reduction, which we have put in the election manifesto of the ATA Alliance.”

He added, “We plan to solve other costs such as diesel fuel, irrigation costs, packaging costs, and drug costs directly at the source. We have a plan to establish large production farms by integrating lands. Our farmers will be the shareholders of large farms. Production will be done collaboratively. We will reduce costs and enable the state to establish a factory for fertilizers.”

Ogan also expressed the importance of seed growth in Turkey, saying “Seed growing in Turkey has come a long way in recent years,” and emphasized his farming background saying, “I understand the problems of both shopkeepers and farmers. We need to correct the chain from producer to consumer, reduce levels of that chain, and reduce costs.”

Establishing large production farms and reducing production costs are key factors in restructuring the supply chain and reducing the cost of living in Turkey. Ogan and ATA Alliance’s initiatives could potentially have a significant impact on the country’s economic landscape.
