PM Orbán celebrates birthday with UEFA leaders over lunch.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban celebrated his 60th birthday on May 31 by hosting a working lunch with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) leaders, including President Aleksander Ceferin, at the Carmelite Monastery. The meeting was attended by Sándor Csányi, the head of the Hungarian football federation, and György Szöllősi, the editor-in-chief of Nemzeti Sport. The UEFA leaders were in Hungary to attend the Europa League finals between AS Roma and Sevilla at the Budapest Sport Arena. Orban also took a selfie with former Portuguese international footballer Luis Figo during the lunch. In addition to the UEFA leaders, the United States Ambassador to Hungary, David Pressman, also wished Orban a happy birthday in a tweet. The tweet referenced a past incident where Orban had mockingly called Pressman “Présember” due to his name and the government’s claim that he was putting pressure on Hungary.
