Police arrest beggars with 42 thousand pounds in Eskişehir
Hamamyolu Street Beggar Caught with Large Sum of Money
Odunpazari Municipality Directorate of Police Department teams recently apprehended a beggar on Hamamyolu Street, identified as H.N. (56). The teams later caught up with two more individuals, SA and TA, who were accompanying H.N. in a vehicle.
Upon inspection, a total of 42,032 pounds and some foreign currency were found in a garbage bag inside the vehicle, which the three individuals were allegedly using for begging purposes.
The Municipal police teams confiscated the money and foreign currency from the three individuals, who have been issued administrative penalties under the Law of Misdemeanors. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of monitoring and regulating activities such as begging in order to maintain public order and safety.
