Police Bust Prostitution Ring in Massage Parlors across Two Cities

Prostitution Found in Massage Parlors in Turkey

Muğla Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams have discovered the practice of prostitution in some massage parlors located in Ortaca and Denizli, Turkey. After four months of technical and physical follow-up by the Ortaca Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the gendarmerie carried out a raid on these establishments on May 10.

During the operation, the authorities confiscated 12 mobile phones, 15 thousand 735 Turkish liras, one cash register, one laptop, one tablet computer, three video recorders, nine account books, one warning device used to report the raid, and numerous sexually explicit pills and materials.

Eight suspects were taken into custody, and their legal proceedings are ongoing with the gendarmerie.

This discovery is another reminder of the continuing issue of prostitution in Turkey and the need for authorities to take action against it. The public hopes that more efforts will be made to prevent such practices from occurring and to support victims of human trafficking in the process.
