Police Chase Ends in Multiple Pedestrian Injuries in Turkey
Car Chase in Istanbul Results in 3 Pedestrians Being Hit
In the district of Şişli, Istanbul, a car chase occurred after the police gave a “stop” warning to the suspects. The vehicle, with license plate number 17 LF 317, hit three pedestrians on the pavement due to the driver’s loss of control. One of the pedestrians, an 80-year-old man named Muhittin Balcan, was seriously injured. The victim was rushed to City Hospital, while the other two pedestrians with minor injuries were taken to Taksim Training and Research Hospital for treatment.
The police were able to catch the two suspects in the car after the accident. Both suspects were taken into custody without further incident.
